Jonathan Marigliano
Biography
Jonathan Marigliano is one of the firm’s founding members. He earned an economics degree with a concentration in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania before completing his law studies at Emory University in Atlanta.
Jonathan started with the defense firm of Sullivan, Hall, Booth & Smith, PC in 1996, practicing medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, and trucking law, before being elected to the partnership in 2001.
Jonathan left the defense practice in 2012 having tried over 25 cases to completion, most of the being complex medical malpractice actions. Jonathan, Mike Prieto and Dan Prieto formed a firm which was the predecessor to the current firm of Prieto, DelCampo, Lopez & Marigliano, LLC. Since 2012, Jonathan has focused exclusively on representing individuals in medical malpractice, nursing home and assisted living abuse matters and trucking cases.
He has continued to focus on medical malpractice, nursing home, and assisted living abuse matters, as well as trucking cases. 2025 was a busy litigation year at the firm, during which he participated in three nursing home trials that resulted in awards of $15 million, over $1 million, and $26.2 million, with punitive damages still pending.
In his spare time, Jonathan has served as a part-time judge with the Magistrate Court of Cobb County since 2012. He also works as a judge for combat sports such as MMA, Muay Thai, and bare-knuckle boxing. He has been fortunate enough to judge events throughout the country and for the UFC, Bellator, PFL, Bare Knuckle Boxing, and other national and regional promotions.
Prior to law school, Jonathan worked with a minor league baseball club affiliated with the San Diego Padres baseball team and, both during and after law school, also spent over 10 years working as a professional scout for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders football team. With his background in sports, Jonathan has also represented athletes and those involved in athletics since law school.
Jonathan is admitted to practice law in Georgia, New York, and Mississippi.
